  • Certified mail, postage, courier, or other mailing expenses.
  • Additional office and administrative fees associated with preparing, processing, and coordinating out-of-state service.

Paternity

A paternity case is used when a child is born to parents who were not legally married to each other at the time of the child's birth.

Paternity in Agreement

$500

Both parties must agree with total absolute agreement on children absolutely no fighting, and must sign all documents.

Paternity NOT in Agreement

$700

The person requesting the Paternity must know where the other person is living so the documents can be served to that person. *We do NOT provide searches for other parties location.*

This is the use of Paternity

Establishing paternity allows the court to legally recognize the child's father and address important issues involving the child. Depending on your situation, a paternity case may be used to:

  • Establish legal paternity.
  • Create a parenting plan and time-sharing schedule.
  • Determine parental responsibility and decision-making authority.
  • Establish or modify child support.
  • Address health insurance and other child-related expenses.

Modification of Case

A modification is requested when there is already a court order in place such as a divorce, paternity, child support, or parenting plan and a significant change in circumstances requires that the order be updated.

Modification in Agreement

$500

Both parties must agree with total absolute agreement on children absolutely no fighting, and must sign all documents.

Modification NOT in Agreement

$700

The person requesting the Modification must know where the other person is living so the documents can be served to that person. *We do NOT provide searches for other parties location.*

Modification of an Existing Family Law Case

As children grow and family situations change, existing court orders may no longer meet the needs of the child or the parents. A modification may be appropriate to address changes involving:

  • Parenting plans and time-sharing schedules.
  • Child support.
  • Parental responsibility and decision-making.
  • Relocation or changes in a parent's residence.
  • Other provisions of an existing family law order.

Contested Family Law Cases

A case is considered contested when the parties are unable to reach an agreement on some or all of the issues involved. This may include disagreements regarding: • Divorce • Parenting plans and time-sharing • Child support • Parental responsibility • Property and debt division • Modifications of existing court orders.

A contested case does not mean there is a physical confrontation.

It simply means that the parties have not yet reached an agreement and must follow the court process to resolve their differences.

The person who files the case (the Petitioner) must have the other party (the Respondent) formally served with the court documents. The Respondent is then given an opportunity to file a response and participate in the legal process.

Mediation Services

Whenever possible, GVA Services Multiples LLC encourages both parties to communicate and work toward a mutually acceptable resolution before allowing the court to decide the outcome.

We offer private mediation assistance in our office by facilitating communication between the parties through:

  • In-person meetings
  • Email
  • Telephone
  • WhatsApp

Our goal is to help both parties discuss issues involving their children, property, finances, and other matters so they can reach an agreement that works for everyone.

Please note that our office is not acting as a court-appointed mediator or providing legal advice. We simply help facilitate productive communication and document preparation when both parties are willing to negotiate.

Court-Ordered Mediation

If you choose not to use our mediation assistance, or if the court requires mediation, Florida courts provide mediation services through independent, court-approved mediators.

These mediators are neutral third parties who have no relationship with either party. The mediation session is generally scheduled by the court and may last several hours. Fees vary by county and the parties' financial qualifications.

If an agreement is reached, the mediator prepares a written settlement agreement for both parties to sign. The agreement is then submitted to the court for approval.

If no agreement is reached, or if one party fails to appear, the mediator simply reports to the court that mediation was unsuccessful or that a party did not attend. The mediator does not decide who is right or wrong, and the case continues through the court system.

Filing and Service Fees

Uncontested Cases

When both parties agree and service of process is not required, our document preparation service is $408, plus any applicable court filing fees.

Contested Cases

If the other party must be formally served, our document preparation service is $418, plus any applicable court filing fees.

 Additional expenses may include:

  • Sheriff's service fees
  • Certified mail or courier services (FedEx, USPS, or similar)
  • Postage and mailing costs
  • Copying and printing fees
  • Other court-related administrative expenses

These costs vary depending on the county, state, and method of service and are not included in our document preparation fee.

Our Goal

Our goal is to help both parties communicate effectively, reduce conflict whenever possible, and prepare the documents needed to move the case forward efficiently. Reaching an agreement outside of a lengthy court process can often save both time and money.
